3D Interior Design Artists That Are Leaving Us In Awe
While exploring Instagram, each week, I discover new artists that take their skills to another dimension. Being an interior design nerd, I often scroll Instagram for cute interiors and new styling ideas. Instagram accounts such as oshdesign and matildagoad are just a couple of my favorites. My friend recently shared this exquisitely designed room. Then, I discovered it was a digitally designed photo. Meaning this room does not exist, at least not in our physical dimension. This awareness took me down a rabbit hole of the endless possibilities of 3D design. 3D graphic design, simply put, uses computer graphics to create lifelike images. These images can be used for anything from video games to movie animation. Below are three 3D artists I found on Instagram whose art, honestly, made my jaw drop.
1. Anna Broeng
This sage green dream is the work of Anna Broeng. I found it nearly impossible to keep myself from daydreaming about laying across that lavender loveseat in a cream-colored gossamer floor-length dress. While unwinding in the loveseat, I envision myself pondering which orange I will pluck from my orange-tree, only to decide that maybe the sour-sweet orange isn’t what I truly desired. Perhaps, it is the softness of the pear that will alleviate my fruit desires. Oh, sorry, I got carried away in my daydream. Now, do you see how powerful her work is?
Broeng is an interior designer in Copenhagen but found her love for design and architecture in Italy. Anna’s work focuses on interior design concepts created from 2D, 3D, sketching, and rendering. Her creations range from indoor sunset swimming pools to green clay stores. One of my favorite components of Anna’s work is the various shapes that make each room come to life. From seamless curves and bends to geometric cut-outs, drawing your eye to each detail.
You can find more of her ethereal creations on her website or Instagram.
2. Alyssa Ramstetter
The next artist is Alyssa Ramstetter. Her art is what sent me on this journey in the first place. If my friend didn’t disclose that Ramstetter’s work was 3D, I would have never recognized her creative ability. This concept highlights how our imaginary world can seamlessly exist in our tangible world, which is the beauty of 3D.
Ramstetter describes herself as “always exploring.” The quality of a curious mind is vital in a world where so many of us are no longer activating our creativity. Thank you, Alyssa, for inspiring us to keep exploring. You can find Alyssa’s work on her Instagram, and be sure to check out her other 3D art, such as this 80’s conversation pit jungle.
3. Mercedes Luna Larrahona
The final artist whose work took me on a magical desert journey is Mercedes Luna Larrahona. Larrahona describes her 3D art as a “ conjunction between her love for Classic Art and aesthetic movements of this century.” Larrahona’s creations feature tropical exteriors with nods to retro-futurism. With her use of pinks, turquoise, and blues, she manages to take you on a luxurious expedition.
You can find more of Larrahona’s work on her website and Instagram.
So, did your jaw drop? Mine did. With the many emerging artists who awe me each week, I will excitedly continue to share their work, and perhaps we will continue pulling our jaws off the floor in admiration.
